Pocket Parks
VARAK Park and Asgrow Covered Footbridge
The 23 foot long seed company foot bridge of “simple stringer construction” in the village of Cambridge was built over Blair’s Brook (now named the Owlkill) on East Main Street for pedestrians in 1890 by Florans Hoxie. Built in the Victorian style, the bridge was painted with yellow and orchid trim with benches in the middle of the span on both sides of the bridge. The bridge has been recently restored and placed back over the Owlkill.
